Reservations, check-in & check-out
Q. What time is check-in and check-out?
A. Check-in is from 3:00pm and check-out is by 10:00am.
Q. Do you take credit cards?
A. The following credit cards are accepted.
VISA・JCB・Masters・Amex・DC・UC
(Credit cards can only be used for purchases for JPY5,000 or more)
Q. Can I leave my luggage with the ryokan before check-in / after check-out?
A. Yes, you can. You can also go to the Ryokan information center in front of the station and leave your luggage with them, there is a small charge of 100yen per luggage. They will then deliver your luggage to us in time for your check-in.
Q. What time do I have to check-in by?
A. We ask that all guests check-in by 6pm.
Guest rooms, baths & facilities
Q. Do you have onsen in the ryokan? Are they private?
A. There are 3 private baths.
Guests can use them for free.
Q. Do I need to reserve the private bath if I wish to use it?
A. We do not take reservations for the baths, when you wish to use one of the baths call the front desk to inquire on the baths’ availability and let them know which one you would like to use. If the bath is open you can use it as many times as you want. If the bath is occupied we will contact you as soon as it is available.
Q. Do all the rooms have a restroom? And are they Japanese style or Western style?
A. All of the rooms have a washroom with a Western style bidet toilet.
Also, there is a wash basin in the restroom.
Q. Do the rooms have a shower?
A. Guest rooms do not have a shower. Guests can use one of the 3 private onsen located in the ryokan instead.
Q. Is there a curfew?
A. There isn’t a set curfew time, however the front desk and doors close at 12am (midnight).
Q. Are there any smoking rooms?
A. We do not have any appointed non-smoking rooms. Guests may smoke in any of the guest rooms.
Q. Are children under the age of 12 allowed to stay at the ryokan?
A. Children are welcome to stay with us. Please see here for prices for children.
About the meals
Q. What time are dinner and breakfast from?
A. Dinner is served between 5:30pm and 6:30pm. We kindly ask that guests finish their dinner by 9:00pm. Breakfast is served between 8:00am and 9:00am.
Guests must notify the ryokan if they will have a late check-in time so that we can plan your dinner time accordingly.
Q. Are the meals served in our room?
A. Dinner and breakfast are mostly served in your room.
In the case of groups of 4 or more people, and depending on the availability of room, meals can also be had in the dining room “Reisen”.
Q. Sitting on the floor is difficult for me because of my legs, could I use a table and chair when I eat my meals?
A. We have a dining area with table and chairs, you are welcome to use these facilities.
Q. I have a restricted diet / allergies, could I request changes to my meals or special meals?
A. We will try to accomodate your request to the best of our abilities, please let us know about your restrictions ahead of time.
(We are sorry, but we can not accomodate for vegetarian meals.)
Access & Parking
Q. I will be arriving by train, do you offer a shuttle service from the station to the ryokan?
A. Please use the free ryokan shuttle located in front of the Kinosaki Onsen Station. The shuttle is available until 6:00pm.
To use the shuttle tell the shuttle staff the name of your ryokan and they will take you there.
It is about 5 minutes by shuttle to Tajimaya.
Q. Is there parking available at the ryokan?
A. Guests may use the ryokan’s private parking area located next to the ryokan.
The parking is free if you make a reservation for your stay online.
Other
Q. Can I use my onsen pass even after I check-out?
A. We are sorry, but the onsen pass can not be used after you have already checked out from the ryokan.
Q. Are there any restaurants, bars, etc near the ryokan?
A. There are several restaurants, bars, pubs and more located throughout Kinosaki Onsen.
Please ask the front desk for more details.
Q. Is there free wifi available?
A. Yes, there is free wifi available in every guest room.
